By Mr. Paul E. Boulet Shoes fit well right out of the box. One of the lightest weight cross training shoes I've every owned. The cushioned bounce from the gel heel is a very welcome addition to my 50+ year old achilles. I've never had a gel heel shoe before but compared to traditional cross training shoes these blow others outta the gym. I've run a few miles in them and enjoy them even more than my running shoes. My regular use of these is weight training, cardio training at a gym

1st this shoe was reviewed by Consumer Reports as the best Cross Trainer the GEL 150 TR; this shoe was replaced by GEL 160 TR. I ran 3 miles in this and it was comfortable to the end with very little problem for my feet or knees. I recommend it highly!

Durable, Comfortable Cross Trainer Aug 13, 2010
By Bruce Rhodes I wear Asics for everything--Fortitude running shoes and Blackheath cleats. Asics is the only shoe I've found so far that has helped eliminate Achilles and knee pain.
I use the 160Tr for weight lifting and twice a week when I work with a trainer doing leg exercises that include speed and agility training. I'm on my second pair (third if you include the 150 Trs I had first). These shoes hold up really well. They are leather (synthetic?) so they're a bit heavier than a running shoe but not nearly as heavy as many other cross trainers. I find them very comfortable.
I've had trouble with most other brands causing foot pain, but never with an Asics.

Great shoe. Good support. Consider ordering a half size larger. I wear a 10 1/2 to 11 and the size 11 is snug.
