These shoes are one of the best running shoes (standard) that I have used. Light, well fitted, cushioned, and you can feel the grip it has on the ground when you push against it. It's better than Adidas and Nike brands in terms of shoes, and is far more durable than them. I have had my other ASICS brand shoes last me for about 2 years, and I used them every day. Like normal running shoes, they arent suited for wet weather, but otherwise they are tough and well designed to wear. Only this brand also has this kind of shoes in my size (I have small feet).
Definitely good shoes for one to wear if you want to do some light jogging to get into shape or to do some more intensive long distance running.

I am only a novice runner. This shoe is light weight, stylish and comfortable. Also shoes are very easy to clean, just pop them in your washer and they come out just like new.

I really enjoyed these Asics, I'm new to the brand but the transition from my regular running shoes to the GEL-Finite shoe was no comparison. My feet weren't in any pain during and after the run, instead I felt myself being able to run further distances without pain. There was a lot of cushioning I was not used to, so if you want a more natural run these shoes are not for you. However I highly recommend these shoes, just one caution, the material is very breathable so I do not recommend wearing these shoes in the rain.

I am a "cheap" medium distance runner.
Since I do not own any other specialised running shoe, I am certainly a novice with running shoes, and not having used any other asics/brooks/puma shoes before, I can't give you a detailed scientific analysis.
But if you are starting (or thinking about starting) running, or are a cheap running guy like me and fianlly are thinking about spending some money, please read ahead.
I have used different shoes (no asics, no brooks) like nikes, addidas and new balances for my running before, but none of them were specialized for running. I am a medium distance runner 12-20 miles a week. I have never had the thought that shoes can make a difference before I bought this shoe. I have had this shoe for 2 days, and life is a hell lot better. I would appeal to all the cheap running brethren, please go ahead and get started with this one, this shoe is so light weight that it seems you are running bare foot. I was much less tired, and much less sore after my 12 miles yesterday. For the price they are avilable I am sure its a great investment, and the best part is even if you are not a serious runner (this shoe is decent looking unlike the kalso earths or some other bland, bull**** looking running shoes) and you choose not to run after a few runs, this will look OK to reasonably good with your favorite jeans. I don't see any downside to acquiring a pair.
PROS:
- Extreme light weight (if you are thinking minimalist...can pick this one)
- Good looking and stylish
- The whole top is meshed, and keeps your feet very airy throughout the run
- Great begginer running shoe (good value for money)
Cons:
- Could benefit from some more cushioning
- Unfortunaltely I have nothing to compare this shoe to, so no other cons, at least from me, but as problems arise I shall update my review
COTS: Great basic beginner running shoe, with low price and the asiscs gel series science involved, which will certainly change the meaning of running if you have not owned an Asics before.
Good for the treadmill Apr 30, 2012

"Fake Snake"
The shoe was true to size and is a very light shoe. I am using it exclusively on the treadmill for walking/running. It is comfortable for the 20 minutes that I am using them on the treadmill. I cannot speak to their road worthyness. They perform well under the conditions that they are being used.
