Crafted with the ASICS® Impact Guidance System (I.G.S.®) in place, the Gel Nimbus 11 men's running shoe guarantees a smooth, fluid ride from heel strike to toe-off. It also features a responsive Solyte® midsole, which attenuates shock on impact.

4Great shoes  Jul 29, 2010
I've been running with Gel-nimbus for six years now, overall I couldn't be happier with the way they perform. The insoles are rather cheap though. I always replace them with a pair from Sole.

Very comfortable. Made for people with high arches and underpronators.
My only complaint is that you can develop tendinitis of the extensor tendon of your big toe if you lace too tight. The laces are more medial than other running shoes. Break them is slowly at first.

Used this shoe 4 nearly 600 miles while going from 260 lbs to 220.

if you run more than 12 paved miles a week, and you don't pronate or supinate, this is the shoe for you. if you need a "control" shoe, asics has what you need. but if you are a normal runner and you are serious about distances and serious about prolonging your knees well into your 70s, the nimbus is the best on the market. not to mention it can be had for $100-$130. that is serious value!

the onyx/lightening color scheme is smooth without being overbearing, plus it retains the new look for months. i run 4 to 6 miles on these puppies about 4 times a week and they have shored up my knee, shin and hip aches.

I'm a bigger runner and have always thought I could never find a good pair of shoes. After being fitted in a proper running store with these shoes, I have never been happier. I can get 200-300 miles out of each pair with no problem. The price is set where it's not painful to get a new pair when I need them.
All in all a great shoe for a great price.
