Wrestling shoe for Deadlift Jan 02, 2011
By secondrow I am a powerlifter and saw this shoe being used by one of my gym buddies so thought I would try it. Excellent fit, light and great grip on mats. Everything I need for a big deadlift. Not recommended for walking or running as will wear out fast and no arch support - typical for wrestling shoes. Very practical for my purposes.

Doubles as a Martial Arts shoe Jan 07, 2010

I wear this shoe for Kung Fu and it does very well. Not a strong heel support shoe, but nonetheless perfect for kicking, falling, and running on the mats. Very comfortable but be careful. My size is really a men's 10 1/4 EE. The 10 1/2 is a bit tight in the evening. Feet swell at night. Still I really like this shoe and have received many compliments on it's appearance in black. It was delivered free in 5 days.

Great shoe, wish they had purple Sep 19, 2010
By Tyler Star Its a great shoe, great fit, great grip on the map, toe room, comfy. All in all a good shoe, I just wish they had a better variety of colors because my school color is purple and they dont carry purple.

Great Fit, Great Comfort, Great Look - Nice Running Shoe Too Dec 01, 2011
By C. Coulter

There have been a spate of articles about how Nike and Runner's World have basically been in bed together promoting ridiculously over-priced footwear and trainers have been serially ruining runners' strides and footfalls in a world where South Americans and ancient Greeks cover and covered far greater distances in sandals. Well, this is light, airy and comfortable. I lift in it, then hit the treadmill. Nice support, perfect for the man comfortable in his own feet. I wrestled in high school and missed what felt like a slipper with grab for the gym floor. Terrific shoe. Ignore your price-conscious buddies who buy into paying three hundred bucks for some thick ankle-aching clap-trap.

Great shoe for weight lifting Jan 22, 2011
By David Sonnen I train a lot with squats and deadlifts. The ASICS Matflex is the best foot gear that I've found for those lifts -- much safer and more efficient than heeled weightlifting shoes and a lot better than running shoes.
The Matflex has excellent traction and a natural feel for warm-ups, yoga and stretching. Barefoot might be slightly better for those parts of my routine, but my gym gets twitchy about bare feet.
So, if you're doing squats or deadlifts, the Matflex is a good, inexpensive option.
I ordered a size larger than I normally wear and that turned out to be the right size for lifting.
