3descent board boot...inferior to Nike ZF1  Feb 19, 2012
By sic5hifter "sic5hifter"
my old Nike ZF1 had to go coz i outgrew them... had to look for a new pair but still on a budget, i saw this DC boot and for the deal $67 i had to buy it. out of the box it actually look good. it seems well constructed. i like it actually.. that is until i had to put it on... the inner boot is (in rubber shoe term) mid-cut.. so when u insert your foot in you have to deal with how to pull the insert, you dont want your heel to get caught in it and push the insert/innerboot all the way down.. its such a poor design.. but anyways.. once you get your foot settled, lacing is the traditional one... no modern lacing system here. its easy though. the feel is good.. its steady and it seems to have ample cushioning on the heels and forefoot. just wanna say i havent taken it for a ride yet, i just got to try it out last night when it was delivered. again, comparing it to my old Nike Zoom Force 1... i like that classic much better. i just got to move on.

update:
the 3 star rating i gave was justified by the fact this boot has too much forward flexing... resulting in less heel lock and less control of the board when doing toeside turns.

4Dry/Warm/Comfortable...perfect.  Feb 08, 2012
By YukiOtoko
These boots are very comfortable, really warm, and very dry (after a whole day of boarding, I was so surprised that when I took them off, my socks were still dry to touch). Personally I don't think these are DC's most stylish boots, but they're still pretty cool looking, and great for the price. I'd really recommend them. One thing I'd fault then on is the liner makes it slightly difficult to get the boot on, i'm sure it'll loosen up over time though. Excellent boots, as for size, I'm around a UK10, (29cm) maybe a touch over, and the 13s fit me perfectly wearing medium thickness socks.
