I am an EMT, and I bought these to use in the field and while working in the ER, and I love them. They broke in very easy and after wearing them for a 12 hour shift, I barely notice them. The side zip is great when you're in a hurry, and they are rugged enough to handle some unpleasant terrain. The leather is sturdy and I feel safer in these than in the combat-type boots my coworkers use. Plus, the style is great.

"TINKERER"
I really like the looks of this boot. It's flat black, perfect mail order fit, side zipper for quick access, sewn on soles; glued soles come off. The only thing I don't like is, one tongue is stiffer than the other, a minor issue not affecting comfort. I added insoles for more cushion...Roy

They fit great, feel good, and look really cool! I love them. When I first tried them on they seemed to fit like a glove. When I walk in them they make my feet feel really sturdy and supported. The zippers make for easy on and off access and I am a big fan of the buckle details.

I done be lovin my new boots. They go's on and off real good. They is of highest quality. They is eye catching. They is sooooo very comfortable. They come real quick, too.

Haven't worn Dr. Martens since the 90's. Brought it back with these boots. Very "strong" boot. Comfortable on your soles for standing and walking but chafes my calves a little. This is my current winter boot.
