Not perfect Oct 17, 2010
By Cadd Like all my other Ecco footwear, the Track5 is very comfortable right out of the box. I'm sure these hold true to my other Ecco boots: waterproof, warm, durable, etc.
However, I have an issue with these boots. Maybe Ecco changed the material of the sole or something, but these boots are EXTREMELY slippery when they comes in contact with grease!!
I work in a field where I am in contact with grease everyday....slip resistant is very important.
I'm currently wearing a pair of Track 4 that's 3 years old and have no issues with grease. When I wear these new Track5 to work, I feel like I'm going ice skating!
I'll give an update once winter hits. Hopefully these will be able to handle ice/snow as well as my old Track4s.
UPDATE 1/23/11: These boots are COMPLETELY HORRIBLE in wet conditions. Things are ok, as long as the surface is concrete. But once you walk inside a shopping mall from the rain, brace yourself. You're going to feel like you're walking on ice. For some reason, the soles on these boots are horrible when they get in contact with a slippery surface (like tile floors in a shopping mall).
I have no idea why other users never noticed this. Maybe it's just my pair? Maybe it's the latex sole?

very happy to catch such a bargain! Jan 01, 2011
By Colleen L. Murphy I love these boots, they are so comfortable. My feet take a terrible pounding as a UPS delivery driver, working 10+ hours some days, and in all weather conditions. These are the only shoes that I have tried that don't cause me discomfort by the end of the day. And they keep my feet dry and warm because of the Gore;Tex lining. The only downside is that because they are Men's boots, they don't come in the size I really need (39 European). So I wear the next size up (40 European). They are a little big, but I get by. I purchased a pair within the last 2 years that were size 39, and they are perfect, but somehow they no longer manufacture this size? I have tried the women's Ecco boots, but the selection is poor or nonexistent for this worker style, and the width was too narrow to be comfortable.

Never disappointed! Jan 22, 2010
By Earle the Pearl I have purchased over the years 12-15 pairs of Ecco shoes. I currently own 8 pairs. They have all exceeded my expectations and have been the most comfortable brand of shoes that I have ever owned.
When it comes to shoes, I do not go cheap, but I expect the best. Ecco shoes have never disappointed me and the recent pair of boots have been the best pair that I have owned. I have spent many years hiking and have gone through countless pairs of boots...These do not need breaking in time. They are comfortable both on and off the trail, but they'll be getting an extra good workout in another month when I trek through Central America with just one pair of shoes.
Treat your feet well...they are the only part of your body to touch the ground.

The only brand to Buy! Feb 09, 2012
By Bensen Ecco shoes are by far the best shoe sold. My wife sold shoes years ago. When she brought home a $225 pair of shoes I told her no way. Take em' back. She of course did not listen. I have bought several pairs since then & just threw away my first pair a year ago. These are by far the best shoes made. Goretex & Waterpoof of course. The European sizing is consistent & my size 43 has never changed. I can now buy on Amazon.com at a significant savings & be comfortable. Too bad these are not made in the USA, that would be the only thing better.

I may never take them off! Jan 03, 2012
By Ryan Winfield In the habit of laying shoe leather all over the city of Seattle, I unwrapped a pair of these for Christmas and tried them on. I could not believe how comfortable they are. The day after Christmas I put six wet-concrete miles on them and when I got home my feet were comfortable and dry. Great arch support, amazing cushion, durable build--I may never take these off! In fact, I plan to order several pair so I'll never be without. I've found my perfect boot. Bravo Ecco!
(I usually wear a 14 but the size 47 fit me like custom-made boots)
