LOVE this bag! Oct 08, 2010
By Miss KJ I just ordered this bag and it is perfect. I have running shoes and clothes in there right now and there is definitely more room than I anticipated, especially after reading one review. If you are looking to store maybe a whole second outfit with shoes I wouldn't recommend it, but for a typical work-to-gym bag it fits all the essentials. The color is adorable. The fabric is more slick than it looks in the picture which was a relief because I thought it was pure cotton. I definitely like the holder on the bottom for my Pilates mat. I am happily toting it to the gym today!

Great design. Wish it didn't fall apart THREE TIMES! Mar 18, 2011
By Heather I purchased this bag at a retail store, and thought I'd found the perfect bag. I used it for ten days before the fabric started tearing away from the seams on the handle, revealing white plastic foam underneath. I exchanged it at the store for an identical bag. One week later, the fabric began pulling out of an interior pocket's elastic. It seems that they didn't prepare the nylon fabric properly before sewing it to other things, and it is prone to fray right out of the seams. The size, the style, and the compartments were absolutely perfect for me, but I can't carry a bag that falls apart that quickly. I wasn't ready to give up yet, so I exchanged it for the same style in a different color. Perhaps it was a problem with one lot of bags, I thought. No such luck. The handle fabric (again) began pulling apart within five days.
With regret, I returned the third bag to the store for a refund. That was last summer. I have yet to find a bag that measures up as far as design and functionality. Unfortunately, the quality just wasn't up to par. If I hear that they've addressed the issue, then I'll purchase another in a heartbeat. Otherwise, I can't recommend it.

Not Practical Enough Jun 28, 2010
By Angel I wanted to love this bag. I was looking for a single bag I could take from work to the gym, and this bag seemed to fit the bill at first glance. The bag is deceptively small, though. Once you put in some running shoes and your exercise clothes, the bag is so stuffed that it is difficult to put a water bottle in side pocket. You can do it, but expect to struggle with the zipper and to fit little else inside or in the side pockets. Also, forget toting magazines or letter size papers; the tapered top means you will not get a magazine in sideways without folding it. Finally, the quality of this bag is clearly not up to par; after a couple uses, threads were fraying left and right.

Great gym/yoga bag Jan 06, 2011
By haleyscomet716 This bag is the perfect size.I can fit tennis shoes and my clothes, and I love all the pockets it has. I also love the 2 waterbottle holders so that your clothes don't get wet from waterbottle condensation.

Small, not convenient, and not strong. Mar 30, 2012
By Diplomat I bought this bag a year ago. I wanted a gym bag that was stylish, big enough to fit a shirt, a bottle, towel and shoes. Yet, the main reason why i chose to purchase this particular bag, was so it could hold my yoga mat. Let me start saying that the bag is very, very small. It is more like a purse, considering that purses are big(ger) in this day and age. I can fit my towel, shirt, water bottle, and wallet. I cannot fit my shoes and i wear a size 6. I do not know why other reviewers say that they can fit these and much more. Also, the side pockets for the water bottle can fit a regular 0.5l plastic water bottle. I could never fit my 1liter aluminum bottle in there, even when the bag was empty. When it comes to the inside pockets with the zipper, yes, that is a nice touch, but you cannot fit anything large, like a wallet. When it comes to the cinch cord for the yoga mat, it is very inconvenient. With more experience you will get used to them, that is true, but even then will not be convenient, especially when you are in a hurry. Lastly, my bag broke after a few weeks of usage. i have holes in the inside pockets and i never put my gym shoes or anything that would overfill or damage the bag. If you decide to purchase, remember that you are buying it for the style/color, and not functionality. For the price of this, there are much better deals out there. I am sure Gaiam knows this, and is aware of the design faults with this particular product , otherwise they would not have come up with the "everything fits" gym bag, which is several times pricier than this.
