one flaw, but a big one Jan 28, 2012
By mikadin i love merrell. these are my 11th pair of merrells and i've used the chameleon sandals for backpacking for the last 5 years. i was disappointed that they were discontinued so i was anxious to try these. they are comfortable if i am sitting or if i have thick socks on (which isn't something i typically do with sandals) but walking causes what i feel is a poorly designed heel (chameleon sandals were great) to irritate, then rub raw the back of my heel. they're almost great sandals, but it boggles me because up until now all i've experienced from them have been great sandals. can't rate these hiking hoes too high since i can't hike in them, but they get a 2nd star for potential. snug, great soles, sturdy, and one completely fatal design flaw.
