never had a bad Merrell shoe Apr 19, 2008
By R. Zdenek These are my 7th or 8th pair of Merrells these are excellent for a rough trail shoe as the side walls are reinforced with extra layers to protect from side impacts...also makes the whole shoe firmer.....great service arrived as expected!!! keep up the great work !!
not totally happy here Feb 07, 2012
By Wisconsin cabin girl My husband says these shoes are very comfortable and wear great. Actually he loves everything about them but the SMELL. They arrived in the usual shoe box and to this day the box still smells like "manure" or a fowl odor. When he wears them to work and sits in his cubicle the smell is offensive to those around him. We both believe it is the leather used in the shoes. I wrote Merrell explaining our dilemma and they DID respond promptly with suggestions to try but none of them did the trick. Of course you can return them but who wants the hassle so we've both learned to sit downwind from people if possible and set them in the garage when not in use! Great product otherwise though...

Merrel Men's Radius Wide Size - Amazon purchase Nov 07, 2010
By Robert L Ferguson This is the 3rd pair of Merrel Men's Radius Wide size I have purchased. I also owned a pair of the water proof version but they do not come in wide sizes and did not fit me well. I walk about 25 miles a week on pavement with these shoes. They last approximate 9 to 10 months (I tend to wear the shoes too long) at which point the cushining in the heal is shot and no longer provides the proper support. The weak link in these shoes are the shoe laces which is why I give the shoes only a 4 star rating. While they look nice the laces stretch through the life of the shoes causing flopping sounds with each step. Eventually the outer cover on the laces wears through leaving just the inner core which will not stay tied. The tread gives good traction. The shoes keep the feet dry in light rain or drizzle for a mile or two but will soak through with a hard rain. I find the wide shoes are hard to find locally in the Seattle area.
nice shoe Oct 31, 2010
By D. Reever Runs true to size if not a little larger, which is the exact opposite of the Merrell Moab's that I have. More waterproof than the Moab, no more wet feet from walking in wet grass. I'd buy them again.
