The shoes are cooler in person than online. I had no problem with the size, they're snug, but it's a comfortable snug, due to the padded interior. The two strips of fabric on each side of the shoe, actually slide through the vertical bars of the "N", not behind it as the pictures led me to believe. It's pretty neat.

I use them as an all purpose shoe, and they work great. Walking, riding my bike, working out at the gym, whatever. They took a while to get used to, looks wise, with the funky orange, but now, I have come to love them. Will be buying another pair when these run their course.

I have 2 pairs, one yellow, one blue. Why? I am an avid shoe guy, and these are some of the best I have ever owned. Comfortable, great grip, durable, and not bad looking either. Cannot find one insignificant detail on these shoes to improve. I foresee additional purchases as more and if additional colors become available. FYI, the yellow is a bit more attractive than the blue.

This is more a review of how Amazon handles returns. I have been wearing New Balance shoes for years now and exclusively use them for running. I was looking for more a shoe to go in the gym and use for casual use. So I know my exact size or so I thought. As it turns out these NB run snugger than any i have had before. Typically I am at a 12 2E but from what I could tell I need a 4E.
I went to try and exchange the shoes but all I could do was return for a fund. On top of the I had to pay for the shipping back. Even using the USPS it was over 5% of the purchase price. I had planned on exchanged the shoe's but because of this I will not and they lose the sale. I will not be ordering shoes from Amazon again.

MT840 arrived just as described on Amazon/Eastbay links. Light weight, breathes well, solid grip and flexible. Very pleased with shoe selection.
