 A cure for Plantar Fasciitis, Flat feet and Over-pronation Sep 16, 2009

This review is purely for the physical benefits of the shoe and not its looks. I have had severe Plantar Fasciitis for the last 4 years (10 on a scale of 1-10). I have worn custom made inserts, done regular stretching, icing, rolling feet on golf balls, spent 100s of dollars on OTC shoe inserts, taken Cortisone shots, wore Birkenstock Arizona's, gotten deep tissue foot massages and went to a Physical Therapist and none of it helped. My entire back half of the foot was in pain, the heel felt like it is broken in a million pieces and every part would hurt but the Xrays and MRI did not reveal anything. After 4 long years of trying everything humanly possible and doing research and reading articles I have finally came across these shoes. They are truly god sent. My feet are very flat and I over-over pronate. After so many years of bad walking my feet were so destroyed that I needed to correct the most basic thing which was my gait. I went to the local NB fitting specialist store looking for the 1123 model and the guy told me these were better for me. He was so right, I swear I want to go back to the store and give him a hug and thank him. These shoes have fixed my gait and my feet land on the ground like they are supposed to and I don't over-pronate anymore. Its almost like walking on air if you've ever experienced those kind of shoes before. I no longer have any pain when walking. Some days toward the end of a long day my feet start to hurt. I'm thinking about buying the inserts NB makes and see if that helps. I am so in love with these shoes that I am evangelizing it actively. I miss wearing fancy dress shoes to work but the comfort I get from wearing these more than makes up for it. I hope I am selected to be a spokesperson for New Balance :) because I have truly experienced the difference.

The shoes are true to size and are comfortable. HOWEVER New Balance needs to do something about their insoles. I resent the heck out of paying big bucks for a shoe and then having to buy someone else's insole.

Great shoe for a big man Jan 11, 2010
I am 245 pounds and this shoe makes me feel like a feather! I can actaully walk with them without my orthodics. I would buy this shoe again. Very comfortable and pleasant. Amazon has one of the better prices.

These are the best walking shoes I have ever had, talk about comfortable. No break in time, fit perfect out of the box. So light you can hardly tell you have them on. Most of all, they are non leather.

Probably the most comfortable New Balance I have ever worn. I work in a school cafeteria and needed a non slip shoe that I could wear all day. I researched shoes until I was tired and this was my decision. I wear them everyday and they are so comfortable and I had to have the non slip. Love them! Love them! Love them !! Durable and comfortable and you wont be sorry.
