5N/B WR870 Stability Running Shoe  Jun 03, 2011
By D. L. Rodrigues "marinewife"
This is my 1st pair of New Balance, as I have been a die hard Nike fan for years. I have to say I think I am hooked on New Balance, and will make this brand my new go-to brand. My reason for changing brands is because of shin splints. I have noticed with my last several pairs of Nikes, if I would go out for more than 2 miles, I would get shin splints, which in turn made my running a chore, No matter what terrain I ran on. I did some extensive research and noticed the New Balances were always listed as one of the top shoes for stability, and cushioning, etc. I actually enjoy going out and running again, and although my shin splints still rear their ugly heads, the pain is no where near what I had felt while running in my Nikes. When the time comes, I will definitely look to purchase another pair of New Balances..

5Sneakers  Aug 09, 2011

Very good shoes. Bought them because of moderate knee problems starting to develop... I put an arched support heel in them to help with that. As a result these sneakers are the only shoes I have been able to find and wear that don't make my toes cramp, ankles twist, knees swell etc etc....I am VERY picky about my shoes...especially sneakers. Will buy these for my next few years!
