Both my aunt & I unfortunately suffer from bunions. I had decided to try this sneaker for each of us, in a wide width to see if it could accommodate our feet. Yes, indeed it did accommodate our problem & we both found we could wear the sneaker the entire day without any discomfort whatsoever. Further, we love the velcro for easy on and off & getting just the right fit. Best of all is the amount of walking I am able to incorporate into my day because my feet don't hurt!!!

Sturdy shoes for my Mom Apr 02, 2011

I purchased these shoes for my mom because she was recently in the hospital with foot problems. This shoe turned out to be a lifesaver for her. She found the shoes very comfortable, sturdy and easy to walk in. I would recommend this shoe to anyone who has foot problems.

I love the New Balance walking shoes because they give me excellent support. My first pair was lace up, but I found these on sale so decided to go ahead and get the velcro shoes. On the plus side, they are easier to put on, and they stay exactly as fastened no matter how far you walk. (Unlike laces, which will loosen unless you double knot them). The only negative is that the shoes look really BROAD on the feet...like Frankenstein boots or something. I guess the lace up ties bring the sides in closer, or whatever. So, from an aesthetics point of view, these are not as great as the lace up. But for convenience and overall quality, an excellent shoe. I will probably get another pair. (I also love the fact that they come in all widths).

My amazon order for this shoe was filled by Planetshoes.com. They advertise free returns but when I needed to return the shoe because it was too small they charged me a $6.95 restocking fee. Buyer beware of this misleading website. You would be better off going elsewhere than going through Amazon as amazon offers no relief, nor any opportunity to register a complaint with them regarding one of their merchants. I'm just saying you may want to be very certain the shoe will fit or buy it elsewhere.

The shoes are comfortable. I walked a couple of laps around the mall with a friend and they felt good on my feet even afterwards.
