5Great shoe for circuit training and Turbofire!!  Jun 28, 2011
By Melissa A. Fleming "Melissa Fleming"
I have been on a perfect shoe search for years. For workouts I do Jillian Michaels and Turbofire, along with other Beachbody programs and other dvds..I can't even tell you how many shoes i tried but they just didn't work..I work out on carpet and every shoe had something that didn't work. I heard of the New Balance Women's WX871 cross training shoes and decided to give them a try..Boy am I glad I did..These shoes are everything I needed..They give me the support for when I do Turbofire which has a lot of side to side movement along with plyometrics...They are comfortable, light weight and and my feet don't hurt anymore when I workout..I love these shoes and would recommend them to anyone

5Good for high intensity workouts!  May 15, 2011
By Heather Kelly
Love these sneakers. I do cardio, toning, strength, etc. so running shoes aren't good for these workouts. I do plyometrics and can get shin splints when I don't have the right shoes (and even sometimes when I do). I bought a pair of Asics trainers that were heavy and too high on the sides and I got shin splints. I read about these in Women's Health as a top performer trainer for intense workouts and bought them. I have been wearing them for almost two months and I am very happy with them. Even my co-worker bought a pair. I had previously worn Under Armour trainers which I really liked too but they stopped making them. It is hard to find training sneakers and running sneakers aren't cut out for my workouts so I'm happy I found these and hope they don't stop making them!

5Best cross-training shoes ever!  Aug 07, 2011
By Lyndsey
I LOVE these shoes! Besides looking really nice, they are the best cross-training shoes I've ever worn. Very comfortable no matter what the activity (cardio, strength training, crossfit, plyometrics, etc.)... they offer good support for high intensity workouts, but are also flexible enough to wear during stretching. I've also worn these shoes while running, and I normally have to wear expensive stability shoes, but these work great and don't give me any shin pain. I get so many compliments on them, too, and even wear them as every day street shoes. They run true to size and fit GREAT and comfortably.

5Great multi-purpose gym shoe  Sep 10, 2011
By Sharyn J. Emery
I lead a wide variety of exercise sessions, and this shoe is working great for all of them. I used to teach a lot of cardio kickboxing, and so typically purchased volleyball shoes for those workouts (which is a great type of shoe for cardio kickboxing, btw). Now, I am teaching more step aerobics and strength/conditioning sessions, so I needed something with a bit more stability, especially for step.

This New Balance sneaker is great! It is stable enough to do lots of pivoting and intricate movement on the step, while providing enough smoothness for lateral movements. The colored section of the sole that edges out to the outside of the shoe might look funny, but it provides a stable foundation to prevent ankle-rolling, and that is HUGELY helpful when doing step or conditioning moves (mountain climbers, hops, jump rope drills, etc).

I still teach cardio kickboxing, and this shoe works really well for that, too.

The fit feels true to size.

5My girlfriend was very happy with these shoes!  Jan 03, 2012
By ChargersFan500
I did a lot of research before getting these shoes for my girlfriend. She supinates (underpronates) and does a lot of lateral movement in her cross-fit workouts. Her foot is a normal width and has a normal arch. She wears an 8.5 and I took the advice from some other reviews on here and ordered a half size up (9). The shoe fit her like a glove and performs extremely well. What surprised me though was how much she liked the look of the shoe.
