Yes, but ... Mar 02, 2010
By ANDRES J. PARDO SAAVEDRA

Yes, these are nifty, hi-techy, practical. You can really take your shoe off and put it on just like a slipper - ant it works! Actually, I left the old traditional shoelace on one shoe and only installed one Yankz on the other; I guess it must look funny, but that's the price of a review :) Installing them is not a breeze, but Saint Google came to the rescue - once again. BUT the problem is that they feel a bit too tight on the instep, specifically where you tighten them. I tried playing with them a little, but it makes not much difference. I'll play some more and update. So far, I'll keep both shoelaces on!

Why do we still have laces? They are obsolete, thanks to yankz. Jan 14, 2012
By Joseph Bates
"My average review score is 3.74, for whatever that's worth."
I rate items based on three criteria - Does it work as advertised? Does the value justify the cost? Does it improve my life? I put my recommendation at the top, then answer those three questions below.
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend this product to anyone who owns one or more pairs of shoes with laces - I seriously cannot believe we're still tying our shoes. We may not have flying cars, but dang it we've got a sweet way to put shoes on.
FUNCTIONALITY
You replace your shoe laces with these - once you get them set up to the right level of tightness, you will never tie them again. The elastic laces cinch everything up perfect as you slip on the shoe - never too tight or loose, if you got it right when you set them up. I have a pair of running shoes using Yanks that have 500-600 miles on them with no noticeable degradation. The shoes are toast, but the Yanks are still fine.
VALUE
$8? Are you kidding me? You're outsourcing the tying of your shoes. Instead of taking 60 seconds every time you put them on - and not always getting it to the optimal comfort level - they're just preset for awesomeness.
DOES IT IMPROVE MY LIFE?
You'll tie a pair of shoes at least 100 times before they wear out. That's probably 2 hours spent tying shoes. I can pay $8 to eliminate that? I like that transaction A LOT.

Yankz is the way to go! These are great! Sep 22, 2010
By Jessica K. Barto This is such a great product. My husband starting doing Triathlons this year and I purchased these for his birthday. He loves them. Saves him the time of tying and retying his running shoes. Thank you for a great product!

Great Product ....but not 5 stars Aug 09, 2010

I really like the yankz in general, but mine broke after about a month of use. The plastic piece at the toe end of the laces broke. The instructions could be better for installation. Overall, I would recommend this product but I wouldn't givev it 5 stars
good product Mar 05, 2012
By Peter Overland When I first opened the package, I thought it was very complicated, but when I realized that the detailed instructions are a fold-out part of the cardboard liner, I got it right! The shoes feel good with this product installed.
