Newalk Nov 16, 2009
By D. Brewer I love Birkenstocks. I needed a clog for the colder weather. When I saw these, I ordered the Newalk Licensed by Birkenstock. I am really pleased. They are just as you said - the size that I usually wear - the comfort - great price - they're great!! Just what I wanted. The clog is warmer than the regular Birkenstocks. I wear my Birkenstock constantly from the time I get up in the morning until I go to bed at night. I recommend them to anyone looking for a great shoe.

Not Even close to the real Birks Mar 12, 2010
By M. Williams After reading the two positive reviews about these shoes, I ordered a pair. As soon as I put them on, I could tell they were not even close to being as comfortable to the 'real' Birkenstocks. They were too narrow, and very uncomfortable in the bed of the foot and toe area. I wanted to save money, as the real Birks are quite expensive, but I guess it's worth it to buy the genuine ones. (It also cost me $15.00 in total shipping costs)

Not comfortable Oct 27, 2010
By Gothson Like M. Williams wrote in his review, these clogs are relatively tight and narrow. Even though I ordered a man's size clog, it came with two size markings on the shoe, one for a man's size and one for the equivalent women's size.
I can compare them to a pair of Betula's that I had previously bought. The Betula's buckle and straps kind of slowly fell apart over the course of three years, and so it was time to buy a new pair.
The Betula's were always comfortable right from the start, but with these Newalk's, I could barely get my foot into them (I couldn't with socks on). It was hard to believe that they were the same size as my Betula's, but I compared the soles of both shoes, and yes, they were the same length. The Newalk's uppers just don't leave as much space for your foot to snuggle into, at least not at first. Perhaps it's because this shoe is also being sold to women that it's not as spacious.
Anyhow, after having worn them for a week or so, I was able to fit into them more or less okay, even with socks on, but they are still uncomfortable to wear. I think the problem is that the stamp they use to make the contoured, raised grooves for your toes is not correct because I can feel the raised toe-line on the ball of my right foot and not in between my toes and the ball of my foot like it should be. It's kind of like having a piece of hard spaghetti in your shoe. Eventually this might wear down and the shoes could become somewhat more comfortable after a few months or years of use.
So, if you want an inexpensive shoe, you have slender feet, and don't mind a little discomfort, you might want to take the risk and buy a pair of Newalk's. Personally, I would spend a little extra and get the Betula's.

Exceptional Experience Oct 26, 2010
By Ann Marie Gidus-Mecera Made by Birkenstock, these clogs were very well made and comfortable. My daughter was thrilled to receive them as a gift. Just as important was the customer service we received. I mistakenly put in a wrong address for delivery and the company re-delivered them for me in excellent time. Thank you for a great experience!
