I bought two pairs of these, one for mt wife and one for me, for our surfing trip to Mexico. My wife thought I was crazy for getting them and that they were ridiculous looking. She'd never been surfing before, and once we got to the beach and carried our boards across the rocky beach and paddled out, she was extremely grateful that I had made the purchase. Especially, because the jagged rocks along the surf break would have mangled our feet. Another couple we surfed with saw these shoes and kind of laughed at us. However, when they saw the rocks on the beach and in the water they asked where they could get a pair.
The shoes help up well. I wear a size 10 and bought a size 10. When I tried them on they seemed a bit small, as my second toe that is longer than my big toe would have liked a bit more room. However, once in the water it was not an issue. They weren't especially easy to get on and off, but once I was in the water and popping-up on the board they provided great traction and kept some of the heat from escaping through my lower extremities.
They lived up to my expectations. I highly recommend them!

Note that they are in fact 1mm not 2mm as is stated.
That being said they are well made and ultra flexible. These kept me servicably warm surfing in 52 waters for 3 hours with 48 degree air in lindamar, Ca over christmas. My feet were freezing, but not numb! Considering they are made for tropical use thats pretty great. They fit true to size. All around highly recomended.

Nor cal kiter who uses them during the spring, summer and fall months. Keeps the the feet warm and protected from the elements
