Very Good Walking Shoe But Could Use More Cushioning Jan 26, 2008

I found these to be a very good walking shoe. I am fairly big guy and would have liked a little more cushioning in the sole, but that was easily remedied with a new insole. I deducted one star due to the cushioning issue, but if you weigh under 200 lbs, that may not be an issue for you. The shoes certainly seem sturdy and are reasonably attractive. Shipping was very prompt. Reliably good Amazon product and service.

They are a good fit, size and width were true. They are good looking shoes and lightweight. However, some of the seams are a little sharp and dig into my ankles, have to wear thick socks! I think that this may be improving as they break in.

Have been a believer in Rockport walking shoes for many years. These shoes don't disappoint. Sizes are exactly as ordered. Beautiful styling and good for casual use as well as walking. Rockport has so far maintained good quality control. Excellent price for $75.

I REALLY LIKE THE LOOKS AND COMFORT OF THESE SHOES . HOWEVER , THEY ARE IMPROPERLY SIZED . I WEAR A 12D AND THIS SHOE IS ABOT 1/2 TO 1 SIZE LARGER THAN A 12 . WHEN PLACED HEEL TO TOE WITH ANY SHOE THAT I OWN , THEY ARE MUCH LONGER . A FRIEND MADE A COMMENT ON THER LENGTH .

I take a 11 D or a normal with shoe so that is what I ordered. If you have a normal to wide foot make sure you get the 2E at least. These shoes aren't as good as the Rockports have had in the past.
