5High Comfort  Dec 19, 2006
By Bryon Eldridge "BarkerJr"
Most shoes have a distinct comfort lifespan, in the shape of a bell curve. They are uncomfortable for the first few days while you shape them, then are fine for a year or so, till they start to lose padding. But, not these!

I just bought my second pair of this wonderful design, as my first pair was starting to lose tread after over three years. These shoes feel great from 15 minutes after you first put them on, forever(or at least 3 years).

These shoes run a little bit larger than normal, and I find myself comfortable in a 10.0 instead of my usual 10.5.

5Great Comfort  Sep 14, 2007
By Electronic Gadgetphile
I have plantar fascitis which means that walking distances without orthotic shoe inserts and well supported rubber soled shoes quickly results in agonizing heel pain. Finding good walking shoes that look good at a reasonable price is almost as painful. In short, these work so well that I now have three pairs and are my shoes of choice for any activity short of dress up functions. I would note that they tend to run a tad smaller than other walking shoes and you may want to order a half size larger than normal if you have orthotic shoe inserts. Best approach is to find a store where you can try them on to verify size and then buy them from the source that offers the best price, choice and service which is usually going to be Amazon. I am really pleased with these shoes and will probably buy another pair (color) when they go on special sale.

5Best Shoes Ever  Jan 11, 2007
By David W. Donnelly "Dave"
I have foot problems. My foot Doctor prescribed these shoes along with orthotics. I've been wearing them for the past 15 years. These shoes have a very strong mid-sole and arch.

5Male Rockport shoe review.  Nov 10, 2006
By Iron Mike "Mike"
Have had a pair of Rockport shoes and have worn them daily through rain, snow, and summer heat for about 5 years. They have been very comfortable and worn well. The first several years I was on my feet daily in an Aircraft Maintenance Facility. Several years ago I retired and continued to wear these shoes. Looked for a dealer locally with the wide designation and could not find any so reverted to the internet where the shoes were found and bought. Present use is for dress while still using the older pair for every day use. Mike E.

2Sole Separation  Oct 12, 2007
By F. Callicotte "maztucson"
Unfortunately I cannot give this shoe 5 stars. This is my first pair and granted they are comfortable however, in a little less than 7 months the outer sole on the left shoe has separated. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem but for a $90.00 shoe one would think this type of "wardrobe malfunction" would not occur.
