Good shoe for intense aerobic activity Apr 26, 2012
By Ivy's Mom
"littleln"
I just received this shoe last week. I ordered it because I have been doing insanity and boot camp and I started suffering from planar fasciitis as a result of the extra activity. I ended up getting custom orthotic inserts, but the inserts are very very stiff and while they are fine for walking they are no good for these types of activities that involve a lot of jumping and push ups. So, I needed to find a shoe with more support since I can't wear the inserts for working out. These fit the bill.
My foot is supported all around. I have very flat feet and these have great arch support. They support the ankle. Everything. Miles better than my old cross trainer (which was also a Saucony, but older lesser model). These are also roomy enough for my very wide foot and a toe spacer (which I wear all the time for bunions). I can't honestly say that these shoes have the best cushioning. They are not cushy per se, but I do my insanity workouts in the basement, on the concrete floor that is covered only by a carpet remnent and a bit of carpet padding and I'm not hurting on the impacts. Knees doing ok, ankles ok. The shoes are also FAIRLY light, but a little heavier than my old shoes. They are definately heavier than a lot of the light shoes available right now but you do tend to trade support for weight. Shoes with support will tend to weigh more. But these aren't too bad.
For me they were true to size, I take a 6, I bought a 6, they fit. If you have a very narrow foot, they maybe too wide, not sure. I'm sure the laces can be tighter etc... but there really might be too much room for someone with a narrow foot.
One drawback, which to me was not worth giving a lesser rating. The look. It's ugly. I got the silver and green. It's like a moonboot or something. But, I wear them to work out, not walk a runway. So I don't really care. But I'm putting it in the review in case anyone thinks it might be a cute shoe to wear around... it's not. It's silver. Very silver. The picture doesn't do it justice how incredibly shiny this shoe is. Blinding really. I might go blind looking at it.

Great Shoe for Narrow Foot May 06, 2012
By Dynamic Dave Shoe for narrow heel and wide front. They do soften up within 3 months. The silver ones are more structured.
Not the best from Saucony May 15, 2012
By Chicago I buy nothing BUT Saucony and this pair surprised me. The shoe was stiff and very narrow. I have never had any issues with any of the runners that Saucony makes. This is my first cross trainer pair. I don't really have history to base this on. Very disappointed.
Really Supportive Apr 02, 2012
By RP A perfect fit and support in the arch and heel. These cross-trainers have made a huge difference to my gym workout. Look great and feel even better. Thank you.
Awesome! Jan 21, 2012
By livingall_4_god Awesome shoe! This is my second pair of Saucony shoes, and I'm more impressed with this one than I was with the first one. I have major feet problems; my feet spasm in the arches when I take my shoes off (extremely painful). When I take these shoes off, I have no such problems. It feels like you're walking on cushions. I play tennis, run, and hit the gym a lot and these shoes have been amazing.
The only thing I've noticed that I don't like as much about this shoe as compared to my first Saucony's is that the size seems to be a little bit bigger than the first pair. I can wear a 7 to 7-1/2 in shoes, but in sneakers I have to wear a 8-1/2. The first Saucony's I bought a few years ago, I got them in an 8-1/2. I got these in the same size, but I've noticed that they are slightly bigger than my first ones...however, when I tried the 8 size, it was too snug for one foot and perfect with the other, so I went for the extra inch...Just something I've observed in Saucony's latest products...but overall, and excellent shoe!
