5Great Support for Overpronaters  Oct 16, 2009
By nctmac "Nancy"
This is an excellent running shoe! Fourteen years ago, when I was in high school, I had an awesome fitting pair of Saucony's. I've tried several times over the years to find a Saucony shoe I liked - no luck....until I tried the Omni 8.

For the support & stability the shoe provides, it is surprisingly lightweight. An important thing to me in a running shoe is the flexibility of the toe - and this shoe fits the bill =) I highly recommend this shoe for mild to moderate overpronaters. I ordered the same size I usually wear for running shoes, fit perfectly. (Nike is the only shoe I have to size up - half a size).

I have Plantar Fasciitis in one foot - it did not bother me at all when running in these shoes!

5Smooth and Comfortable  Jul 10, 2009
By Rhonda L. Jared "love to tri"
I "road-tested" and then bought a pair of women's Saucony Pro Grid Omni 8 running shoes today. My first pair of Saucony shoes.I put them to the test with a run this afternoon and my feet, hips and lower back love them! The extra bit of cushioning is wonderful and the support for my 58 year old, high arch pronating feet is ideal. These are the best pair of shoes I've ever owned. I bought them at Runner's Soul in Spokane, WA.

5Cushy and well ventilated  Jan 24, 2010
By Jana Taylor
I usually buy Nikes, but I just got a pair of these Saucomy Omni 8's today from my local fitness store. I compared these head to head against the Nike Nucleus, which is my current shoe which I was considering buying again. I found the Omni 8's to be more cushion-y and pillow-y feeling on my feet, and also I noticed they let more air in when I wore them outside today in 40 degree weather, I actually felt the air on my toes. For me that is GREAT because my feet get so hot/sweaty running (especially in summer) and it really bugs me.

If you don't like a shoe that is light and breathable and want something that is more sturdy and insulating for cold weather running, I suggest getting a shoe made with Goretex material. I do know Nike carries one of those, Because I own a pair, but I found it to be stiff and it had a "breaking in period" which was annoying.

But these shoes are going to require no "breaking in" period. Comfortable right out of the box. When these wear out I will definitely consider buying another pair of these.

5Love this shoe!  Mar 17, 2010
By Soon to be Mommy
I have extremely flat feet, wear orthodics, have weak ankles and, to top it off, I am 6 months pregnant. My old shoes (different brand) made my back and legs hurt and did not provide the support I needed. After reading many reviews and comparing prices of these shoes in various stores, I decided on the Pro Grid Omni 8 through Amazon.com. I am so happy I did. I love these shoes! My orthodics fit perfectly in the shoes and, compared to my old shoes, I feel as though I'm walking on air! While I have not used these shoes for running yet, I wear them for my daily walks and have noticed a huge improvement in the way they feel compared to my old shoes. I don't want to take them off after putting them on. All of the reviews were correct - these are excellent shoes! They fit true to size. I would purchase them again and again. I'm sure I will be putting many, many miles on them and I look forward to it. I highly recommend.

5Comfort plus!  Oct 13, 2009
By Sara Lynn
Just to clarify things, I am not a runner and only recently started a walking and exercise program. Due to problems with extremely low arches and plantar fasciitis, I had difficulty finding a comfortable sneaker with good arch support. After some research I chose this particular sneaker and am very happy I did. It's got the support and cushioning I need in the arch and heel, but is lightweight enough for me to wear through exercise and beyond. Ran small for me though, had to order full size up.
