Description:

MINIMALIST RUNNING / BAREFOOT RUNNING The Saucony Peregrine is the latest addition to Saucony's minimalist range. The Peregrine is a light weight trail shoe based on a similar concept to the Saucony Kinvara. This is a brand new neutral running shoe from Saucony. A very low, lightweight offering, but still feeling very cushioned. Even though this is a very lightweight trainer, it is still very stable which is unusual in such a low profile Trail shoe. Heel ProGrid LITE - Saucony's lighest version of ProGrid that absorbs impact, dissipates shock and sets the foot up for a smooth transition EVA+ - An advanced EVA blend that maximizes rebound and durability while minimizing weight Moulded EVA Sockliner - Antimicrobial and breathable while providing superior cushioning and ride Airmesh Upper - for lightweight breathability for your foot, keeing it cool and free from sweat. XT-900 carbon rubber outsole material offers exceptional traction without sacrificing durability# XT-900 carbon rubber outsole material offers exceptional traction without sacrificing durability Memory Foam Heel Pods - to hold your foot in place and mould to the shape of YOUR foot. This shoe has had it's multi-directional tread deepened from the first draft of the design and we're sure it's going to become a favourite. Please note that due to the design of these shoes, it is highly recommened that you train in these shoes, whilst running in your current shoes. It is not advisable to start running in these shoes from the very start - training of the foot and leg muscles is needed to be done to help reduce injuries. What Saucony say about minimalist running and the shoes... Going minimal all at once is risky because minimal shoes ask more of different muscles in your feet and calves. Instead, we recommend using a minimal shoe for one or two of your runs each week. This will strengthen those less developed muscles and help you realise a new and better overall level of fitness. 5Excellent Shoes  Dec 06, 2011
By Tracy
I broke the cardinal rule and wore these shoes for the first time on a 14 mile trail run, and turns out they needed no breaking in whatsoever. They are comfortable, and the traction is great on hills and rocks. I wear a size 8 street shoe and typically get a size 9 running shoe and got these in size 9, and they were perfect. I've only put about 30 miles on these so I can't yet say much about their durability, but they're doing fine so far despite the abuse encountered on the trails.

5Light trailrunner is right  Jul 14, 2011
By Crystal "Susan Crystal Jack"
This shoe fits consistent to Saucony models, but it fits better, if possible, fits like a glove with no extra weight or ridges. I've never had such a great shoe. Although, I thought the color a bit much, as it rarely will match ordinary attire, people stop me to admire the shoe! I've never slipped on a trail once putting these on. Won't wear anything else for trail hiking.

5Fantastic shoe  May 14, 2012
By Adajenie
I know everyones running styles are different. I have had these sneakers a few months now. For me these are working out for both on and off trail.
Great coushining, support and the comfort is fantastic. I have changed out the insole for a pair of orthotics I have, but the ones that come are ok for most I'm sure. These are my first Saucony and have ordered another pair today..love them that much.
They are my no. 1 go to sneaker now!!!
