5Lite as a feather - Yet just enough cushion  Jun 29, 2011
By r_webb21
Wow!!! Is the best way to describe these shoes! First off - I run typically run about 20-25 miles a week JFYI. They feel as if your wearing cloud shoes-light and fluffy! Although the heel-to-toe drop is minimal, the shoes still has a very supportive arch. If you are even in question about these shoes - look them up. I spent hours and these things have been tried and true with marathon runners with no complaints other then the tread wears out faster then some other shoes. But I can't complain-I would rather need to buy new shoes more often then run in concrete slabs!
I am a newbie marathon runner and I have had a pair of Nike's and New Balances before this. The Nike's were ok, but the ball of my foot would start to hurt towards 4+ miles. My New Balances were... HORRIBLE! I bought them off line and did not research them enough. The heel was HUGE (like running in high heels) and they were heavy (like 14+ oz each!)with no flex! None the less, I started having knee and arch issue right of the bat and thought my running career was over due to my knees (after a scary 9 mile run that ended in agony).
Well I went into the running shop down the street to look at the new Adidas Climacool chills (a friend of mine has some) and the guy said NO WAY! The guy is a running coach/marathon runner and he explained the whole MINIMALIST stuff which after hours of research-sounds great to me! He showed me these shoes in which I felt I had nothing on but the squishy sole made for a comfortable ride. I took them out on an easy 3 mile jog in which I felt NO DISCOMFORT in my knees are shins or arches! I felt as if I glided and my running posture was awesome! These shoes correct the Heel-toe motion most runners unfortunately do - which puts strain on your knees. In these I ran more on the middle of my foot more towards the ball of my foot (due to the very slight heel-toe drop). My knees never felt better! Plus I did not feel like the bride of Frankenstein clumping down the street...
All in all I have been training in these shoes with no complaints! They are breezy, light, comfortable, and supportive in just the right places!

5I LOVE these shoes!  Oct 05, 2011
By Holly M. Eager
I was a little skeptical of the other reviewers who claimed their run times were cut so drastically after running with these shoes, but the reviews are accurate! I have never been a super fast runner; I run 3 miles a few times a week. But after trying these shoes, I shaved FOUR minutes off of my 5 mile run! I couldn't believe it! These shoes are very comfortable and light. The mesh on the top lets the breeze go through keeping your feet cool and preventing odors and lots of foot sweat.

The only warning I would say for the people who are purchasing online is that these shoes do run about 1/2 a size small. I have never worn a size 11 women's in my life- until I bought these shoes. I usually buy a women's 10 or a men's 8.5 since those are slightly bigger than a women's 10. But other than that, these shoes are a no-brainer to purchase! I cannot be happier with my new running shoes!!!

5Saucony you rock!  Jul 01, 2011
By renee reed
For the past 3 years I have been trying to get back into my running. Stopped for several years, then picked it back up again in 2008. Ran myself promptly into stress fractures. Twice. Now that I have finally figured out how to train right now that I am older, I invested a lot in orthotics and stability shoes. No more. I believe in the philosophy of strengthening those muscles/tendons that cause pronation, which I had quite severely a few years back. I have eliminated all of my pronation and shin (stress fracture issues) by strength training including balance and core work (with a great trainer!). However, as I graduated out of my orthotics to just my Asics Kayanos and then Brooks Adrenalines without any insoles other than the stock shoe ones, I felt the shoes were too heavy and just too much shoe. I was interested in taking away all that fluff and support and having my feet and lower legs do what they were supposed to. So I looked at more minimalist shoes. No more cheating with stability shoes! I tried on the Kinvara's after talking at length with the Roadrunner Sports shoe guy-and I was immediately in love with these shoes! (Although wasn't thrilled with the color selections....). They are light, feel like a sock, with the right amount of cushioning. The heel to toe drop is something like 4mm, very minimal, which I liked also. They are so light-they make my Brooks Adrenalines feel like concrete blocks. The Kinvara also is breathable, and if you are doing really long runs (I am training for a HM), love that my feet aren't roasting. These are amazing shoes and all you need really, to run right. Great job Saucony, for creating an incredible shoe at a great price! I bought two pairs and rotate them.....I like them so much.

5LOVE them! Lightweight and soooo comfy!  Jul 27, 2011

One of the best running shoes I have ever owned!! I believe they run pretty true to size... makes running/training for races a BREEZE! It is also a very "cool" shoe... my feet did not get overheated & felt well-ventilated!

5Awesome!  Jul 18, 2011

I have had these shoes for about 3 weeks now and am soooo happy with my purchase. I was tired of all the bulk associated with most running shoes and had been fighting several injuries. This shoe is incredibly light weight and allows me to just run! My stride and posture feel so much better. While this shoe is extremely light weight, it also has enough cushion to keep it comfortable. If you are in need of a light weight, flexible shoe, then I would recommend this!
