These do not run small May 03, 2010
By BE Babe I normally wear a size 8.5 or size 9. I ordered these in size 9 because I have another pair of Skechers Shape-ups in size 9 (athletic version). I was really surprised to discover that these sandals were way too big. There was at least an extra inch of room in the toe area. They are comfy and I've found that the sole feels more squishy than the sneaker version. I like them and will consider ordering a 1/2 size or even a full size smaller.

Love, love, love these sandals May 29, 2010
By S. Fowler MBT's converted me to the "anti-shoe", but skechers has won me over with Shape Ups. I have owned 4 pair of MBT's and decided to try the shape-up sneakers because they had a cuter look. I loved the shape-up sneakers better than MBT because they fit better and the soft part of the sole extends farther up the foot; they feel like walking on a marshmallow. I have a pair of MBT sandals, but they look very "athletic" and I wanted a pair I could wear to work. These skechers sandals are perfect. I wear them all the time and would like to have them in black also. They do not stand up as high as the sneakers and are not quite as quishy under the foot, but they are comfortable and I think they actually work my muscles a little differently than the sneakers do. I was a little concerned that they would be too short. I normally wear a size 10, but I do not like my toes to come to the end of my sandals. I probably would have bought a 10.5 if they had offered it. But these sandals seem to run a little bit long and so were perfect for me. I did have a little bit of rubbing on my pinky toe where the metal triangle is, but my toe has since toughened up. I am tempted to cut off the strap that connect the toe straps to the ankle straps as I feel that it is unneccessary and I am afraid I will have very weird tan lines soon, but I would hate to mess up a pair of $100 sandals. I hope skechers comes up with more Shape Ups sandals soon, as I am replacing all of my shoes with Shape-Ups.

Wish they were a little wider May 20, 2010

I love these sandals. I had read a review from someone with a narrow foot that said they fit her great. I have a wide foot but took a chance and bought a pair anyway. I would like a little more room across the front of the foot. These sandals are attractive and comfortable. They appear to be a little long and not very wide. I tried half size larger, and they are too big. Addendum several weeks later: I wear these shoes almost every day now, and the width is no longer a problem. They are very comfortable.

Best sandals EVER Oct 21, 2010
By Sandy Brennan I bought these sandals to wear on a trip to Greece when I knew we would be walking a lot every single day. I cannot say enough good things about these shoes. We climbed over rocks, walked on pavement, dirt roads, gravel and cobblestones and they were absolutely wonderful. I've never written a fan letter about shoes in my life and I couldn't wait to get back to write this one. They were snug and stable on my feet and I wore them every day. I have permanent marks on my feet - crazy tan lines - from wearing them so much. Thank you, Skechers - you kept me and my bad knees totally comfortable for 3 weeks! I'll be sad when the weather is too cold to keep on wearing them!

These run BIG, a 6 is like a 6-1/2 Dec 08, 2010

UPDATE 4-15-2011. I have 2 black pair and 1 brown pair. The first black pair was size 6 and too large per my original review. The black and brown pairs size 5-1/2 fit well. I think the problem is the leather stretches making them even larger. I noticed that the black pair (different leather?) stretches more than the brown pair. I found myself only wearing the brown pair now because the black pair make my feet way to white looking!
These run BIG, a 6 is like a 6-1/2. I bought and wore a 6 with socks so it fit better. I ended up buying a 5-1/2 and they fit perfectly. I've always been an exact 6. This happened with the leather pair of Skecher Shape up sandals too. A 6 is way too big plus the leather stretches. My foot moves around all over the place. I can wear them with socks but that looks stupid. Regarding the 5-1/2 shoe, now that I've found the perfect fit, I love the shoe. It looks great casual or at work. The workout effect is not as strong as with the walking shoes but it's good for non work-out times.
