I Loved These! Jul 28, 2010 I just got these yesterday and I immediately put them on to run errands. Then, this morning I wore them on my daily walk with my dogs - I LOVE THESE SHOES! I could have walked hours more! They are comfortable, no jarring of my joints and absolutely wonderful.
Almost the best Jul 19, 2010 I've had my Skechers for one month. Obviously the first thing everyone notices is the price point and I'm afraid I can't help you much there. I have psoriatic arthritis which was mis-diagnosed for over 10 years, but those diagnoses led one osteopath to recommend that I only wear hard-soled or rocker-soled walking shoes, to take stress off the balls of my feet. So I have always worn Sunrise FootwoRx at $120.00 a pair. Those are wearing out so I decided to try the Shape-ups. First, the bad news: Made in China. Boooo, turning my city into a dump by closing the factories, exploiting Chinese slave labor and un-controlled pollution that's hurting us all. We also take a serious risk that the materials will not be as advertised and possibly even dangerous. But I bit my tongue and tried them anyway. Now, as to performance. These shoes do allow my ankles to turn inward quite noticeably, and I wasn't aware I had a problem with pronating. Otherwise, I'm pleased. The rocker action makes it very hard to slacken my pace when walking outside, which is a problem I have when not on the treadmill. And these shoes make me crazy powerful on the hills. They just roll me right up over the top, much faster, and much less huffing and puffing. I will wear these for now, but I am saving my pennies so I can upgrade to the Masai Barefoot next year, because I think they will be more stable for my ankles.
They feel great on feet----BUT!!! Jul 16, 2010 I bought shape ups two weeks ago. I got them on sale and wore them right out of the store. My feet have constantly been in pain with a particular condition and I found these to be heavenly to walk in and no foot pain after I took them off. However, I have not been able to wear them since as when I got out of bed the day after having worn the shoes for a couple of days in a row, I had a terrible pain from my back through and around my right side which continued to bother me for two more days. I am now afraid to wear the shoes even though they helped my feet tremendously. Has anyone else had this issue? Please respond if you have. I never spend money on myself (just my kids) because we don't have a lot of money and now I feel like I've thrown $100.00 away.
Still waiting for "the burn" Jul 11, 2010 To be honest I was a little anxious about how much muscle pain people had after wearing all day from the "workout". These are without a doubt the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, straight out of the box. But I'm still waiting for the burn, none whatsoever. Can you wear them wrong? I walk heel to toe like it says on the CD (which was a nice perk) and no burn, no pain, no soreness. Just comfy. I'm up and down stairs all day and no discomfort whatsoever. I'll be buying more, I'm sure.

My high arches love these! Jul 08, 2010 I have worked out a lot in the past, but have had difficulty with weight gain as I have gotten older. I have arthritis in my right knee from an old riding accident. I am on my feet for about 8 hours a day in my job. My arches are quite high. All of these things added up to foot aches and lower back pain on a chronic basis. I have been wearing my Skechers to work for about 2 weeks now, and I no longer have foot and back pain. Unlike other reviewers, I do not have any problems with stability. I get up and down on my knees constantly, so I have tested this. I also have not had any problems with ankle or knee pain like other reviewers, and I have an injured knee. I did talk to another Shape Ups owner who has "flat" feet, and said that she had discomfort after wearing hers for an extended period of time. I noticed at least one other "high arch" reviewer, so maybe this is an exceptionally good shoe for this type of foot. I love them :)
