Poor materials, craftmanship, and support Oct 13, 2009

I bought these hiking boots believing the hype in advertising. After three months of publicly maintained trail use, the sole on the left boot cracked and separated at the forefoot spring. I went straight to Spira in an effort to get a replacement set of boots, but my complaint was treated with unprofessional skepticism. This is the only pair of shoes I have ever returned. For the cost ($170.00) I feel cheated.
