1Had high hopes, but no luck.  May 21, 2009
By K. Duvall
I run six days a week 5 to 10 miles a day. I wear Asics Gel Kayano's. I read about this brand and was really hoping this would be great to increase my endurance without causing fatigue in my legs. I put these on and thought I was standing on concrete. Totally stiff and hard. My right foot felt like it was rolling out just standing. I ran in them one time and finished with a shin splint! I have not had one of those in over a year. I tried to wear them again the next day and took them off after 20 minutes, putting my old Asics on and felt relief. I can say when you switch back to a "normal" running shoe you can actually tell the spring was in there. But I noticed nothing different than my other shoes except discomfort. I am sending them back and not going to try them again.

4Great shoes, but run small  Apr 15, 2010
By B. Burris "Professor"
I love Spira shoes, and have had two pairs of their walking shoes. These are good athletic shoes, but not quite as fabulous as the leather walking shoe. For some reason they are not quite as springy and bouncy, although they are still better than most athletic shoes. Also, for some reason they seem to run small. I wear a size 9 in the Spira leather walking shoe, but had to order a 9 1/2 in these. Otherwise, I am satisfied with these shoes, but also feel that they may be a bit overpriced.

5Love them!  Sep 09, 2008
By Bunny
These shoes are springy and my feet don't get tired after walking for hours. This is my second pair in a couple of years. The first pair I was advised to order a 1/2 size larger but they always felt too big so I wore thick socks. This pair I ordered in my regular size and they fit 100% better and I can wear them with thinner socks.
