These took some time to break in, which I haven't experienced before with Teva products. The opening around the ankle felt uncomfortably stiff and restrictive at first, but after some use they seemed to loosen up or it stopped bugging me. Either way, your foot won't slip out of this shoe easily. They don't feel very heavy or thick, but they handle rocky terrain and water really well. Even when they were fully submerged to cross a stream, my feet and socks stayed dry inside.

I have Teva Genea lightweight hiking shoes and they fit and wear very well. Got the WP version for dog walking in rain and wet grass. The shoes stay dry enough, but water gets through the mesh areas and I end up with wet socks. Also, the waterproof material used has a strange odor. I wear these occasionally, but have to use other shoes to keep my toes dry.
