Great for Crossfit (Lifting/Runnning/All Purpose) Mar 08, 2011
By Chris I bought these because the Chucks just didn't fit right. I wear them while doing olympic lifts, running, rowing, and any other CrossFit workouts. Great shoe, have had the same pair for the last 8 months with no issues. I just wish they had a better color selection!
Zoo York Sneakers SQUEAK! Oct 21, 2011
By Kathy Why do these sneakers squeak so much? I've put pads in them, taken pads out. tried socks, nylons, bare feet.....no matter what I am wearing on my foot, these Zoo York sneakers go squeak, squeak....very embarrassing! I am not impressed, paid $40 and the quality is poor. like other reviewers, the decal and rubber is already peeling and I only wear them once a week.
Good looking shoe but it seems you get what you pay for... Apr 08, 2011
By Darrell As I write this I've had these shoes for exactly one week. First off, I'll start with the good. Love, love, LOVE the look of these things. I bought the grey pair with the purple stripe and couldn't be happier from a purely aesthetic standpoint. Also, these things are very comfortable. They're lightweight and breathable. And last but not least, the price is excellent. $35 for a new pair of brand name sneakers is tough to beat.
Now, on to the bad. As I mentioned I've had these for only seven days, and already the Zoo York logo on the back of the heel is peeling off of one of the shoes. Also, I'm beginning to feel an ominous "crunch", for lack of a better word, in the soles when I walk. And I haven't even been doing any running or anything like that. Just casual, every day walking around. Hopefully these things don't completely fall apart by week three.
So for now I'm giving them a 3 star rating. If these issues turn out to be a fluke and there are no further problems I'll gladly revise the rating to 4 stars. If, however, they turn out to just be the tip of the iceberg then I'll be changing it to 2 stars (or worse). I hope it's the former rather than the latter as I really, really wanted to love these shoes. Unfortunately, I'm starting to regret not opting for the Van's I was also considering that were only 15 bucks more.
Great look, Quality lacking Nov 09, 2010

These sneakers looked great out of the box. The problems occur only once you start wearing them. After about six weeks of use, the rubber sole is pulling apart from the shoe as well as the piping pulling apart from the sole. Given the price, I'm not totally surprised, but I am disappointed enough over the fact that I am back shopping for sneakers so soon to quickly write this review. If these weren't less than $40, the star rating would be much lower.
Good for the price. Oct 02, 2010
By Vincent R. I've had these shoe for a couple of weeks now and can say that it was a good buy, for the pice that is. These shoes are meant for casual wear and nothing else. So if you try to run or do anything else you might fall on your face like I did. The reason I gave these shoes a four out of five was only because after a while the purple strip around the shoe started to break. Nothing serious just a little small crack nothing big. Like I said their good shoe for the price, if you want something casual this is the shoe for you, but anything else I would have to say no.
