This is a great shoe, much lighter than any other shoe I have owned. I agree with the other review that the insole is very flat, but this is the same story with any ECCO I have owned. I would highly recommend this shoe!

outstanding product. I have enjoyed Ecco's dress shoe line for years and this was my first try at their outdoor line. Simply put, I love these shoes. The high points are great grip, great impact absorption and comfort too. I prefer function over style and these shoes have ok style , i was afraid they would look a bit like cheap sketchers especially the blue titanium color... But they are quality quality quality and a lil dash of gore-tex - what now?!

Well, I may not be the best person to review this shoe. I'm struggling with plantar fasciitis, and this was the shoe I happened to have when I was finally diagnosed. So, these shoes don't have the best arch support, and the profile is pretty narrow. I'm currently wearing PowerStep insoles inside these shoes...with the original insole...and my plantar is gradually improving.
So, here's the straight dope, or at least my experience. If your feet are more or less good, I highly recommend this shoe. They're water-tight...I've taken these guys through some downpours and stayed dry. They're very stable, with a good grip on Seattle's slippery surface streets and hills. They're roomy, flexible, and breathable...note I have two insoles in them, and they remain comfy on top. The lacing system is awesome. The elastic, bungee-like band remains firmly in place, and you'll never have to bother with tying your shoes again. Looks a little odd at first, but after a week, you'll wonder why all shoes don't have this kind of lacing.
But if you're looking for the high arch support, I'd look elsewhere...unless you're a big fan of PowerStep or Superfeet. If you're into putting those insoles into ANY shoe, then this shoes will work for you. Its flexibility gives you the option of keeping its already cushy insole in or not, depending on how much you cushion you want. Also, be aware of this shoe's narrow profile. If you have wide feet, give this shoe a pass.

I thought Ecco just did not fit my feet but I like them so much I keep trying them on. To my shock these fit my wide/high arch feet. The best part is they slip on and off. Gortex! enought said?

Ecco makes a very comfortable shoe. Living in the Northwest, I wanted something waterproof as well as good looking. This shoe is perfect.
Ordering and delivery were flawless. I'm a happy guy with dry feet.
